・QDC Combinations

DeltaMate Quick Disconnect (QDC) fittings are used by combining a male QDC connector (Male) with a female QDC connector (Female).

Both G1/4" male-threaded (M) and G1/4" female-threaded (F) variants are available, allowing you to select the appropriate combination depending on the water-cooling component or tubing connection.

・Usage Notes

While QDCs provide convenient disconnection and easier maintenance of a water-cooling loop, their more complex internal structure may result in increased flow resistance compared to standard fittings.

The internal geometry of the DeltaMate Quick Disconnect is optimized to minimize flow restriction. To reduce the impact on the water-cooling loop, we recommend using QDCs only where quick disconnection is beneficial, such as for component replacement or maintenance.

・Recommended Configuration for Water Blocks

For graphics cards or other water blocks that are frequently removed or replaced, Thermal Grizzly recommends the following configuration to maintain a consistent flow direction.
 

Inlet (IN)

Water block side:
DeltaMate Quick Disconnect Female - M

Tube side:
DeltaMate Quick Disconnect Male - F

Outlet (OUT)

Water block side:
DeltaMate Quick Disconnect Male - M

Tube side:
DeltaMate Quick Disconnect Female - F
 

DeltaMate ST13 or DeltaMate ST16 tube fittings are required on the tube side.

・Connecting Two Tubes

When using a QDC to connect two tubes, use the female-thread (F) versions of the QDC fittings on both sides. Standard tube fittings are then installed on each end of the QDC fittings.

For consistency throughout the cooling loop, it is recommended to use the same Male/Female orientation for every QDC connection.
 

One complete tube-to-tube QDC connection requires:

This configuration allows tubing to be disconnected quickly while minimizing coolant loss during maintenance or hardware upgrades.
